Very interesting history of a family and all that came from slavery. The grounds are quite large with several out buildings. They give you a tour of the house with the funishings of the last heir stiā€¦ Full review by Lisa J

This is an amazing self-guided tour of the outbuildings and a guided tour of the home. Great history of the plantation. Would recommend for couples and family. Full review by Craig C

The original home burned and was located closer to the visitors center, The current home that you can visit was built in 1850. The land ownership went from 7500 acres, to roughly 2,500 as it is today. Much of the land was sold over the years to support the property and family during hard times.
