The Capitol building is closed on Sunday but you could see the outside of the building. However, do consider coming Mon-Fri 9-4 for an inside tour or Sat 10-2 for a view inside.

I would plan on an hour to an hour and a half. The rotundra and then it's ceiling is always a good photo opp. The marble is beautiful. There are statues in there too. The outside is really pretty and then do not forget the floral clock . It is one of three (I think) in the world. It will take the full allotted time if your using a tripod and camera. Not quite as long if you just point and shoot. Enjoy. It is beautiful. IMHO.
