Annapolis MD is a city not to be missed. It is easy to get around and people friendly with so many beautiful Historical houses and streets to walk about.Being here at Xmas time has been fantastic! Full review by soloflyer2018

What time do shops typically close ? Is it still fun to walk around at night or is most things open during the day?

It seems near Christmas the shopping was available later like 8 PM or so. But the restaurants and pubs are definitely open later. After 10 it’s mostly a drinking crowd.

Is the downtown area dog-friendly? We like walking with our dogs as we are sightseeing.

I saw folks walking dogs down by the waterfront, and saw dome stores with dog water bowls out...so it's dog-friendly. There are stores catering to dog goodies (at least one ... on state circle)

There are curb cuts in many places and ramps on some buildings. I'm sure all the government buildings are ADA compliant. Easy enough to get around outside and …

There are curb cuts in many places and ramps on some buildings. I'm sure all the government buildings are ADA compliant. Easy enough to get around outside and restaurants are hit and miss regarding accessibility. Call if you have a desire to dine in, or see. a specific place.

Try the downtown area - great walking for shops and restaurants. Try over the bridge for the Boatyard!
