My friend and I were lucky to find someone who spoke English who prevented us buying a wrong ticket, you may be as lucky. Enjoy your visit, and sorry I cannot be more help.

Hi, they do pick ups from hotels around the old town vicinity, it takes about 45 minutes. They play a dvd in the bus to give you an idea of what happened and what you’ll will see, so it goes in quite fast. If it’s hot make sure you take a drink and a hat, as the walk around Birkenau is unshaded.

Hi there, we took a bus, it drops you off on the main Rd and the Aviation Centre is about a ten minute stroll. It is a huge complex spread over an indoor and outdoor viewing area, there are interactive parts inside the hangers and would suggest a whole day or more if you wish to view everything. There are lots of facilities ie toilets and eating area and also the obligitory gift shop.
