There's a new update about American Primeval season 2 on Netflix that is rather surprising to hear for fans of the show.

Created by Friday Night Lights ’ Peter Berg, American Primeval, starring Betty Gilpin, Taylor Kitsch and Dane DeHaan, is a gritty western following a mother and son fleeing from their past while confronting a the harsh landscape of the American West.

Netflix’s “American Primeval” promises to show “America like never before.” But as fans of frontier stories know, there’s really nothing new under the Western sun.

American Primeval has had a lot of time in the sun since its debut on January 9, spending most of the time since then at #1 on Netflix. At least in the US. Now, it’s been booted down to #2 for the second time, and not just by a night of WWE RAW.

With American Primeval Season 1 winding up recently, many are eager to know whether a Season 2 is planned. Created by Mark L. Smith, the Western series follows a mother and son, who leave behind the past and start anew with a new family.
