Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic purchased a $15 million Texas home just days before he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, former NBA player Chandler Parsons has claimed—while alleging that the news of the surprise move left the 25-year-old sporting superstar in tears.

Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards, who earlier in the week provided one of the most memorable soundbites out of several dumbstruck NBA stars who commented on the trade, offered up another (he seems to have a knack for that) in an ESPN clip on Wednesday when he was asked about the trade once again.

When asked about the trade, Legler, on the All-NBA Podcast, had the following to say, refusing to hold back on the situation: "Not only would Mark Cuban not have done the deal, Mark Cuban would have fired a person who suggested it on the spot... Because he'd be certain that person has to be doing something in terms of narcotics."

The Athletic reported earlier in the week that the Mavericks had a dream of pairing Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant with their current core of Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving. SNY's Ian Begley is taking that one step further, saying the Mavs were actively engaged in talks on Wednesday, trying to make it happen.
