FBI agents who investigated Jan. 6 and President Donald Trump’s now-dismissed classified documents case have reached a delicate agreement on how to stop the immediate public release of their identifying information.

President Donald Trump's administration agreed on Friday not to publicly name FBI employees involved in investigations into the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, as the president said some would be fired.

The Justice Department also requested a list of agents involved in a U.S. criminal case against leaders of the Hamas militant group.

The Justice Department has agreed to refrain from publicly identifying any FBI agents whose conduct is under review as President Donald Trump’s administration examines the investigations into the Jan.

Suing FBI agents raised concerns that Trump Justice Dept. Jan. 6 probe could put law enforcement officers at risk if Musk or others outsiders get their names.

The agreement does not impose a constraint on the distribution of agents' identities to government agencies or the White House.
