Retail in the U.S. has struggled over the past year, with many businesses reporting significant closures. Big Lots and Party City are going out of business, and chains like Walgreens, Red Lobster, Pizza Hut, TGIFridays and 7 Eleven are closing hundreds of locations in the U.S.

Posters can be seen hung at some sites, letting customers know that while that location is closing they can visit nearby stores.

GameStops are expected to close in East Greenbush, Latham and Troy as part of a broader string of store closures.

A notice posted on a store window says the Hornell Plaza GameStop is “no longer accepting trades at this location” due to plans to close this month.

It looks like a bunch more GameStop stores are closing, and there hasn't been much word from the company's management regarding the closures.

GameStop is continuing to shutter stores, as customers and workers from across the United States and beyond fear for its future.
