South Carolina is becoming the US production base for yet another vehicle manufacturer after it was announced on February 12, 2025, that Isuzu North America Corporation would be investing $280 million in a new facility in the Upstate.

The new assembly plant will introduce a variable-model, variable-volume production system that produces both internal combustion engine vehicles and EVs. It will be the first facility in the Isuzu Group to use a production line without conveyors or pits.
