A water main break has prompted a boil water advisory in Kalamazoo. The advisory is in effect in the following areas: Everyone in the affected area should boil their water for two minutes before consuming it.

A Kalamazoo intersection is closed due to a water main break. The closure affects the area of Kilgore Road and Westnedge Avenue, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.

Crews have closed at least 3 valves to stop the water flow so they can begin to repair the main and eventually, the road.

On Friday morning, crews finished repairs on a large water main break that caused a fountain of water on Peachtree Road in Buckhead the night before.
