Don’t put your shovels away after digging out Sunday morning – more snow is anticipated to be on the way in Massachusetts in the days ahead.

Snow is expected to stop in Worcester and the western part of the state before 9 a.m., gradually moving out of eastern Massachusetts by noon. Essex, Suffolk and Middlesex counties in the northeast part of the state may see snow showers through 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Heavy snow, sleet and freezing rain are likely for some regions, as forecasters say “significant” ice accumulation could impact travel.
