SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse Orange Quarterback Kyle McCord will declare for the 2025 NFL Draft. That's according to Senior College Sports Insider for ESPN Pete Thamel on X. According to Thamel, McCord told ESPN that he has, "decided to no longer pursue an NCAA eligibility waiver for another season."

McCord was the nation’s leading passer in 2024 with 4,779 passing yards and led the Orange to their first 10 win season since 2018. Carter recorded his 12th sack in Penn State’s final game against Notre Dame and was Penn State’s first consensus All-American since Saquon Barkley back in 2017.

After a record-breaking season at Syracuse that saw him end the year with an upset over No. 6 Miami and a bowl win over Washington State, quarterback Kyle McCord has made his decision whether to keep playing college ball or give the NFL a shot.
