Tabler is set to be executed at 7 p.m. ET, one hour after the 6 p.m. execution of James Dennis Ford in Florida. They're set to become the nation's fourth and fifth executions this year.

Richard Lee Tabler was executed by Texas for a 2004 double murder; he expressed remorse and had ended his legal appeals. His spiritual growth while on death row was noted, but the ACLU's appeal to the Supreme Court had been denied.
