The entire St. Louis metropolitan area is under a Winter Weather Advisory late Thursday and into Friday morning as another round of snow hits the region. While this system will be less intense than Sunday and Monday's storm, it will impact the morning commute on Friday.

VDOT’s 511 traffic map shows most roads in light blue (minor impact, some icy patches) or dark blue (moderate impact, snow covered) as of 7 a.m. Saturday.

Temperatures have reached 32 degrees Saturday morning, which means roads – especially bridges and sidewalks – are likely to freeze over. We're already seeing slick spots on the roads and power outages across the area.

Flying south through smoky skies down the famous Malibu coast, at first the burnt-out mansions are the exception -- solitary wrecks, smoldering away between rows of intact, gleaming beachfront villas.Where row upon row of family homes once stood, all that remain are occasional chimneys, blackened tree stumps and charred timber.

In north Alabama, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office has issued a travel advisory due to ice-coated bridges and roads. Many roads in the country are unsafe for travel, officials said, and “we strongly advise against venturing onto the roads today.”

Roads across the Mid-South will soon be covered in snow. Transportation officials in Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi all urged drivers to stay at home unless travel is absolutely necessary. FOX13 is committed to keeping an eye on our roads.

The incident occurred amid icy weather conditions, leading to additional precautions, including the temporary closure of a nearby bridge in Conyers.

Nashville and Middle Tennessee could see less snow than the 6-8 inches originally expected Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
