As of 8:15 a.m. overpasses on Memorial Pkwy are closed as crews treat slick areas. As of 6:55 a.m., we're starting to see ice forming on overpasses and bridges. These areas freeze faster than regular roadways,

People are encouraged to travel at slower speeds if they have to go on the road. Drivers are also encouraged to leave space between vehicles and use extra caution. WFMY News 2’s Brian Hall got a photo of the road conditions along highways in Forsyth County. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement on Friday urging residents to stay indoors and said the roads are not safe.
