Just a few weeks ago, we reported on how the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie has already crossed the $200 million mark, with the film not even available in some parts of the world yet.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has set a new record ahead of its digital release, becoming the highest-grossing of the entire series. Set for digital release on January 21 in the US, the threequel, which sees Sonic, Tails and Knuckles form an alliance with Dr Robotnik to defeat Shadow the Hedgehog, has yet to confirm its release in the UK.
