Slidell police have arrested a Salmen High School teacher accused of having inappropriate conversations with his student.

SLIDELL, La. (WVUE) - A former Salmen High School teacher was arrested Tuesday (Feb. 4) on accusations of inappropriate behavior with a student, authorities said. Slidell’s John Bowie, 56, was booked on a count of inappropriate behavior with a juvenile, Slidell Police said.

A high school teacher in Slidell has been arrested following allegations of inappropriate behavior with one of the students. According to the Slidell Police Department, a complaint was received against the now-former teacher at Salman High School,

John Bowie, 56, was taken into custody after Slidell police determined there was sufficient evidence to support the claims.

The investigation began after the Slidell Police Department received a complaint regarding John Bowie, 56, who was accused of having inappropriate conversations with a female student during class, according to police.
