The Carolina Hurricanes executed a blockbuster trade on Friday night, acquiring Mikko Rantanen and Taylor Hall from the Colorado Avalanche and Chicago Blackhawk
Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson will be Mikko Rantanen and Mitch Marner. The second tier could include Nikolaj Ehlers, Brock Boeser and Brock Nelson. Though they may be on the older side and not in their timeline, Brad Marchand and John Tavares could hit the open market.
The Hurricanes sent Martin Necas, Jack Drury, and multiple draft picks to the Avalanche in exchange for Rantanen, while Taylor Hall joined Carolina from Chicago.
