A driver in DeLand has been arrested after he allegedly shot at another driver who honked at him for driving slowly.

Daniel Duarte, of Orlando, was arrested in connection to a possible road rage shooting in downtown DeLand over the weekend, according to police.

Cold weather shelters are opening in Central Florida on Thursday and Friday due to expected overnight temperatures below 40 degrees.

Some patchy fog this morning mostly west of Orlando otherwise quiet weather today with a seasonably cool start this morning. Temperatures are back to winter normal today. Dry and sunny weather this week with a gradual warm up as we go throughout the week.

Channel 9 is contacting county leaders around Central Florida to gather more details on shelters opening this week. Two cold-weather shelters will open on Thursday and Friday evenings, providing refuge for people experiencing homelessness. Doors will open at 6 p.m. to offer overnight shelter Thursday and Friday.
