A day before the scheduled meeting with Jets owner Woody Johnson, Ryan believes he’s the best candidate for the job and that he will get his old job back.

Ryan joined ESPN Radio the day before he will speak with the Jets. During his chat, Ryan said he “100 percent” thinks he is going to be hired in New York. Simply put, the always-confident man thinks he’s the No.1 person for the job.

The last time the Jets made the playoffs was when Ryan led the team to the AFC Championship Game in 2010, where they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 29-10. Ryan went 50-52 (including playoffs) in his six years as Jets head coach and constantly made headlines as a controversial figure in New York.
