Philadelphia Flyers right wing Travis Konecny tallied three assists during their victory over the New York Islanders on Thursday evening. Konecny would tally two of them in the second frame, one shorthanded and the other during 5-on-5 play.

Joel Farabee had two assists, and Samuel Ersson made 26 saves for the Flyers (20-20-6), who extended their point streak to four games (3-0-1). Farabee was a healthy scratch for each of the previous three games.

Any win against a divisional rival is a big deal, but the Philadelphia Flyers’ 5-3 victory over the New York Islanders carried extra weight.

Ryan Poehling went down with an injury in the first period, but the Flyers rallied as five different players scored a goal in the win.

After defeating the New York Islanders on Thursday, 5-3, the Philadelphia Flyers (21-20-6) traveled down to Newark, New Jersey, to take on the New Jersey Devils (26-16-6) in another Metropolitan Division showdown.

John Tortorella's Philadelphia Flyers (20-20-6) are in Newark on Saturday afternoon to take on Sheldon Keefe's New Jersey Devils (26-15-6).

The Flyers close out a three-game road trip on Saturday afternoon against the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center at 12:30 p.m.

The Flyers have won three of four and have points in four straight games following an emotional 5-3 win against the Islanders.
