Monterey Bay Whale Watch said more than 1,500 dolphins were spotted by the company's scouting boat when it went out to perform a survey.

After a bit of a break from the rain on Monday morning, a second atmospheric river is on track to soak the Bay Area.

A miles-long cluster of dolphins was filmed leaping, gliding and cavorting their way across Carmel Bay on the central coast of California.
