Israel's military says two soldiers have been killed in a shooting attack in the occupied West Bank, as its forces continue a major operation against Palestinian armed groups in the north of the territory.

Israel’s military said Tuesday its forces killed a gunman in the occupied West Bank who had fired at soldiers. The Israel Defense Forces said the exchange of gunfire took place at a checkpoint in the village of Tayasir.
