Korean outlet MTN reports that the game, known as Project H/Skyline internally, has been canceled following a round of layoffs in October last year. That's not the only affected game, as another title codenamed Project Pantera, based on NCSoft's Lineage franchise, has also been canceled.

Since then we've heard little more, other than job listings shared in 2023 which appeared to confirm the Horizon MMO was in development with the codename Project Skyline (with the initial codename being Project H). And now, it appears the MMO has been cancelled before it was even officially announced.

On Tuesday, a new report hit the internet suggesting the planned Horizon Zero Dawn MMO with NCSoft has been cancelled.

Sony and Guild Wars studio NCSoft have reportedly canceled a Horizon MMO in what seems to be a broader move away from live service games.
