Nintendo’s latest earnings report is out and sales of the Switch console have plummeted after the Switch 2 rumors and announcement, exactly as you’d expect. Switch sales are now projected to hit 11.0 million for the year ending March, down from 12.5 million units forecasted.

This is a new record-low price for the Nitro Deck, which I consider to be one of the best Nintendo Switch controllers. Even the more regularly seen models that come in GameCube purple or Black rarely get discounted down below $39.99, which is what the other versions are currently sitting at.

This confirms what many fans suspected upon seeing the Joy-Con controllers sliding around a surface on their sides during the announcement trailer last month. Presumably, the “mouse operation” feature will allow some games on Switch 2 to be played with either traditional controller inputs or mouse inputs.
