Police said the man was attempting to cross multiple lanes of traffic outside of a marked sidewalk Monday morning.

"They don't go out to the store or any place they used to feel safe because they don't know what's going to happen," said Louisville resident Maria Sanchez.

APD said it would be reopening the street to traffic on weekend evenings. But over the weekend, the street was closed on Saturday.
