After the suspect refused to put his gun down, a deputy shot him where he died on the scene, according to authorities.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy was involved in a shooting in the 14200 block of FM 2769 Tuesday evening.

Due to the man not listening to the commands, and seeing the wife being held at gunpoint, a deputy shot the man to save the woman. The man was killed, TCSO said. No one else was injured in the shooting.
