Damage from lightning strikes has left the Mount Washington water tower in the dark for over a year and a half, but community members rallied to raise tens of thousands of dollars for the project.

The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for much of the Bay Area, continuing through 4 a.m. on Wednesday.
