Marietta Water has issued a boil water advisory after a water main break on Lawrence Street near Covington Avenue caused portions of the water system to lose pressure on Friday night. Marietta officials said on Sunday that additional water main breaks also happened at Lakewood Drive and Parkview Drive but did not require a boil water advisory or pose a concern about water safety in the area.

City officials said the advisory for residents on and near Golfview Avenue is precautionary after a water main break caused temporary pressure loss in the area.

The New Orleans tap water system is well on its way to recovering from a historic blizzard and multi-day deep freeze that slammed the city, although a boil water advisory for portions of New Orleans East will likely remain in effect at least until Saturday morning,
