All lanes of the southbound 405 Freeway in Encino have reopened after an hours-long closure for a deadly crash.

California Highway Patrol officers responded at 4:06 a.m. to the southbound 405 near the Valley Vista Boulevard exit.

An SUV was reported driving 60 to 70 mph northbound in the southbound carpool lanes of the 405 freeway near Getty Center Drive just after 4 a.m. Tuesday, according to California Highway Patrol logs.
