Seattle's Proposition 1A was approved by voters in the Feb. 11 special election. Prop. 1A, backed by the grassroots campaign House Our Neighbors, will tax 5% on the total amount of compensation for employees making more than $1 million per year. The measure is expected to generate about $50 million per year for social housing.
