While Google made the change, Apple Maps had not renamed the name of the body of water as of 5:30 p.m. ET and had not publicly announced any plans to do so.
The Current Radar map shows areas of current precipitation (rain, mixed, or snow). The map can be animated to show the previous one hour of radar.
