Jasprit Bumrah won the ICC men’s test cricketer of the year award after the Indian fast bowler finished 2024 with a rich haul of 71 wickets in 13 test matches.

On the women's side, Smriti Mandhana was awarded the ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year, her second such honor after her initial win in 2018. At 28, Mandhana has had a stellar year, scoring 747 runs in 13 matches with an average of 57.86 and a strike rate of 95.15.

Smriti Mandhana put several batting stalwarts, including the likes of South Africas Laura Wolvaardt, Englands Tammy Beaumont (554) and West Indies Hayley Matthews, to shade.
