People are encouraged to travel at slower speeds if they have to go on the road. Drivers are also encouraged to leave space between vehicles and use extra caution. WFMY News 2’s Brian Hall got a photo of the road conditions along highways in Forsyth County. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement on Friday urging residents to stay indoors and said the roads are not safe.

Roads across the Mid-South will soon be covered in snow. Transportation officials in Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi all urged drivers to stay at home unless travel is absolutely necessary. FOX13 is committed to keeping an eye on our roads.
