Anthony Davis had 26 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks in his Mavericks debut but left the game late in the third quarter with a lower-body injury as Dallas beat the Houston Rockets 116-105.

The Dallas Mavericks returned home for the first time since sending megastar Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers before the trade deadline. It was a volatile crowd, as Mavs fans were outside of the American Airlines Center hours before the game protesting the trade.

The Rockets will try to break a five-game losing streak when they face the new-look Mavericks on Saturday in Dallas.
