Jasprit Bumrah will miss India's five-match T20 series against England but fellow fast bowler Mohammed Shami returns from injury.

India will host England for a five-match series which starts on January 22, with the series concluding on February 12 with a three-match one-day series to follow before next month's Champions Trophy.

Fast bowler Mohammed Shami on Saturday returned to India's squad for the upcoming T20 international series against England after more than a year's break due to injury.

Fast bowler Mohammed Shami has finally made a comeback to the India squad with his selection for the five T20Is against England starting on January 22 in Kolkata. He returns after last playing for India in the ODI World Cup final in November 2023, after which he had ankle surgery and also suffered from knee-related niggles.

The highlight of the squad for the five-match series is the return of pacer Mohammed Shami back to international cricket after 14 months.

The selectors have also opted for Dhruv Jurel as the second wicketkeeper in the squad with the in-form Sanju Samson being the first choice as Rishabh Pant misses out on a spot.
