A suspect involved in a standoff with police in East Tulsa is dead. According to police, the incident began as an armed robbery call Friday morning near 5900 E.

Officers first responded Friday morning to the scene near 5900 E. Marshall St. where a man reportedly pointed a firearm at a teen domestic violence victim.

A standoff ended with a shooting Friday afternoon. The police standoff near Pine and Sheridan started as an attempted armed robbery call. Police says the suspect was inside the home with his girlfriend.

The suspect in an hours-long standoff in north Tulsa is dead after being shot by an officer, according to Tulsa Police.

Tulsa Police Captain Richard Meulenberg confirmed that that standoff began after police responded to reports of an armed robbery. Police said the area of 5900 E. Marshall is currently locked down by officers.
