Tulsa Police have confirmed that the suspect in a standoff is dead after being shot by an officer near East Pine and North Sheridan.

A suspect involved in a standoff with police in East Tulsa is dead. According to police, the incident began as an armed robbery call Friday morning near 5900 E.

The Tulsa Police Department said the suspect in a north Tulsa standoff was fatally shot by an officer after barricading in a home.

TULSA, Okla. — Police are engaged in a standoff in north Tulsa. According to Tulsa Police, officers responded to an armed robbery near Pine and Sheridan Friday afternoon which turned into a standoff. TPD has Marshall Street locked down during the standoff. No other information is available.

Officers first responded Friday morning to the scene near 5900 E. Marshall St. where a man reportedly pointed a firearm at a teen domestic violence victim.

A standoff ended with a shooting Friday afternoon. The police standoff near Pine and Sheridan started as an attempted armed robbery call. Police says the suspect was inside the home with his girlfriend.
