New Britain middle schools requiring students to put cell phones in Yondr pouches
Some students in New Britain will have to put their phones away when they return to class. It’s part of a new policy going into effect at two middle schools. Phone-free classrooms are coming to two New Britain schools: Slade and Pualski middle schools.

Wednesday marked what the school district here called the first “full day of full implementation” of a cellphone ban during school days. The school district says that it’s the result of research and analysis that it’s done that shows that less cellphone use at school promotes a stronger learning environment.
Fair Grove School District changes cell phone policy
Starting on Wednesday, Fair Grove students from 6th grade through high school must lock their phones in a Yondr pouch when they arrive. Kids slip in their device and then push a button to seal it. At the end of the day, special magnets mounted around the school allow students to open the pouches and remove their devices.
