Just received a registration bill for upcoming year and total of $685 ($364 for registration fee + $312 for license fee +$9 for county/district fee). What a scumbag state of California robbing people on a broad daylight!!!

Apr 28, 2023 · Yup. Welcome to the Tesla experience in California. J/K Actually, it has more to do with purchase price than being a Tesla. Reg fees are, in part, based on price of the car. That’s per year. And it doesn’t go down much…per year. It’s a reason CA is known for high living expenses.

I read an article today that stated all EVs sold in California must come with a 10 year / 150k mile warranty on the battery.
