Introduced as the sixth character in Borderlands 2, Krieg is a unique psycho who was revealed in the Psycho Pack DLC on May 14th, 2013. Unlike other psychos, Krieg's psychosis is likened to a man trying to control an uncontrollable truck, aiming to avoid harm to innocents.

Krieg's Mind is a realspace representation "planet" of the eponymous psycho's fractured mind, created by Tannis in a psychically-neutral part of space for physical exploration by the Vault Hunters.
