If they want to make the character truly animalistic, they could do full Hulk style motion capture and have Kelsey Grammar voice Beast. Opens it up to making Beast look exactly how they want without real blue fur looking cartoonish.

Good hair/makeup, and the Frasier voice definitely works for Beast, but I can’t say the portrayal is memorable for really any other reason. Very meh use of the character in spite of the effort they put into the aesthetics.

May 29, 2014 · Time and time again, particularly in Frasier, Grammer has proven himself to be one of the few actors in Hollywood capable of carrying the intellectual power to play Beast convincingly. Maybe the late, great Philip Seymour Hoffman could have done it, but something tells me he wouldn’t do the makeup.
