Raymond van Barneveld (born 20 April 1967) is a Dutch professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, where he is currently ranked world number thirty-four, having been the world number one from January 2008 to June 2008.

Hij begon zijn carrière als WDF / BDO -speler en stapte in 2006 over naar de Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Hij is vijfvoudig wereldkampioen: vier keer bij de British Darts Organisation (BDO) en een keer bij de PDC.

Dutch icon Raymond is one of the sport's all-time greats, winning four Lakeside Championship titles before joining the PDC ranks in January 2006. The Den Haag veteran made an immediate impression, winning the UK Open on debut before defeating Phil Taylor in an epic sudden-death leg to triumph on his PDC World Championship debut in January 2007.

Van Barneveld had provided a small upset in the first round by beating Premier League Darts star Chris Dobey 6-5, pinning a stunning 144 checkout to get the victory in style.
