The incident is related to a theft of personal property, and took place on 10/3/2024 at approximately 4:25pm, near the security desk at the Gorman entrance.

Jan 26, 2024 · The University of Massachusetts at Amherst Police Department is investigating a robbery that took place on January 26th at approximately 8pm. Four students were in Lot 13 off Olympia Drive when they were approached by two males. One of the males was reportedly wearing a ski mask.

Tyrone A. Parham has been sworn in as the new chief of police at UMass Amherst by Chancellor Subbaswamy. Parham and his family were warmly welcomed by the campus community, with his own squad in attendance alongside local and state police officers.
