Nov 16, 2021 · PHOENIX — After more than five years of study, authorities have selected the preferred route for the proposed Interstate 11 that would take the future freeway near Hidden Valley southwest of Maricopa and south of Casa Grande.

Interstate 11 (I-11) is an Interstate Highway that currently runs for 53.9 miles (86.7 km) on a predominantly northwest–southeast alignment in the U.S. state of Nevada, running concurrently with either or both U.S. Route 93 (US 93) and U.S. Route 95 (US 95) from the Arizona state line and Boulder City.

The I-11 corridor study area stretches 280 miles from Nogales to Wickenburg, Arizona. The corridor study area varies in width from approximately 10 to 25 miles. The Interactive Map shows the Selected Corridor Alternative from the Final Tier 1, as well as the Recommended Alternative from the Record of Decision.

Mar 28, 2023 · I-11 will be the first technologically advanced “smart” interstate highway in the country. The interstate will help bolster the state’s $24.2 billion sports and tourism sector and could contribute a $35-45 billion dollar increase to the Arizona state budget.

The initial Interstate 11 (I-11) and Intermountain West Corridor Study was completed in 2014. This allowed I-11 efforts to move to the next phase, with projects and studies continuing in both Arizona and Nevada.
