Jul 14, 2019 · When I have a customer who has a complaint about a "shudder", the first thing I inspect it the pinion angle and the prop-shaft center support bearing. I have found that a ¼"-⅜" shim between the center support bearing and the mounting bracket almost eliminates the shudder when accelerating from a stop with a load.

Mar 23, 2023 · When you do this, it unlock the converter briefly, and the shudder should stop. Once you let off the brake pedal, it should return. Or drive in 4th gear and see if the shudder goes away, or is much less noticeable. As for the Shudder Fix additive, LubeGuard is the one that seems to be the most recommended with good results.

Aug 16, 2021 · Shudder is often a matter of oils and the bands in the tranny slipping (or not 'gripping' as well as they should). It's usually pronounce on shifts, and esp in drive or OD position. Esp if your rig isn't throwing codes, and ESP if the fluid is old or has recently been changed.

Mar 5, 2018 · Enjoying the Taco the last few weeks now but have a concern: as in the title above, transmission shudder/vibration. Seems to happen when I do the following and is repeatable: 1200-1500 RPM, approx 43 mph, slight uphill, accelerator tip-in, not enough to downshift. I can recreate this 100% of the time.

Aug 3, 2016 · Here is what my truck (2015, 2500, 6.4) is doing and has been doing since new. When you slow down from a higher speed to make a turn onto a new street, slowing down to approximately 15 mph, once you accelerate, the truck will shudder and shake like the transmission is slipping. It only does this when the truck remains in 3rd gear.
